Standard modules deliver power using a reactive method: after the injection takes place, temperature drops and the module tries to return to the programmed temperature as fast as possible

The problem

Standard modules deliver power using a reactive method: after the injection takes place, temperature drops and the module tries to return to the programmed temperature as fast as possible, introducing significant strains in the components that shorten their average lifetime. Sicem modules deliver power using a adaptive method: peak requests of power are evaluated by the Adat-plus function: this algorithm will determine the urgency of the request and spread the extra power output so as to fulfill the demand in time for the next injection cycle. This function greatly lengthens heaters life.
The components in the moulds are getting ever smaller, and delicate. Standard techniques used to control them, that once were considered safe and tested, today are not sufficient anymore.

The solution

The graph on the left shows how a standard module powers a nozzle, while the one on the right shows the way Sicem modules do it: peaks are lower and power output is more even. This power output system lengthens the average life of heaters and thermocouples.
The average power output is the same: what changes is the peak power output
The Adat-plus function is a complex algorithm that finds the best compromise between temperature accuracy, response speed and heaters strain reduction. The reduction of abrupt power output changes greatly increase the heaters average lifespan. Adat-plus operates in the background and without any intervention required from the operator.
