In the almost thirty years of activity in the field of thermoregulators, we have worked closely with all the professional figures involved in the plastics molding industry. This has enable us to follow the evolution of this complex field, and sometimes to precede it: after all, thermoregulators are one and only products.

With the passing of time, our vision of thermoregulators has changed: in the beginning, the most important issue was to obtain the most precise temperature regulation but, after thousands of systems operating in the field, we came to the discovery that this was only the easy part of the problem. Injection systems have become more and more complex, and the components used for the molds are getting ever smaller and difficult to handle. And all of this is happening in a globalized world, where profit margins are constantly shrinking.

Our new generation of thermoregulators has been designed to avoid losses of production due to problems with the thermoregulators or the controlled moulds.
It is true that any piece of equipment will sooner or later fail, but we have eliminated all the possibilities of a single failure being the origin of catastrophic damages, both in the thermoregulator and in the mould.
Many minor problems can be anticipated and subject to preventive maintenance, and the remaining ones can be solved easily and fast.

The MP 3500 modules went out of production at the end of 2001 but there are still a few thousands in operation around the world. The racks are still current.

MP 3500 was the first digital controller produced by Sicem.
1995 Development of the Adat-Plus algorithm, that optimizes the relation between reaction time and stress on the heaters. For many years this was the best regulating algorithm on the market.
1998 The MP 3500 module was completely redesigned to achieve a higher degree of reliability.Protection against wrong cabling was added, including connecting the mains to the thermocouples or wrongly connecting the power supply of the heaters.
Of course, in these cases the module will not be able to carry a regulation; but as soon as the problem is fixed the module will star to operate correctly, without any technical intervention.
2002 The MP 3500 module is replaced by the Power MH 3600 . It inherits all the features of the older module and adds the HPM function to diagnose the state of the heaters. This function constantly compares the load connected to the module with the nominal value of the load itself and alerts the operator in case of anomalies. This function is of primary importance when dealing with heaters connected in parallel.
2006 The new “Compacta²” series of thermoregulators reaches the market. These new regulators are based on the MCX racks that have as a distinctive feature the fact that all cablings are doubled. This to allow for the operation of the Cluster MC 3800 modules that operate with two thermocouples and have two power outputs. This new racks can also house the older Power MH 3600 module.
2006 The new Cluster MC 3800 is introduced. It has been designed to ensure a higher degree o reliability by using paralellism and redundancy.
A patented set of algorithms, allows split a group of nozzles or heaters into two sub clusters of components.
The controller determines automatically which is the best element of the group to carry the regulation and automatically swaps out of the circuit a damaged component.

2008 The Dual MD 2900 toe independently regulate to nozzles using one single module. This is really to controllers in one and both inherit the main features of the bigger brother, th Power MH 3600.
